Don’t know what to do for Independence Day?
Here are some local events happening in the Knoxville area during the 4th of July Holiday!
Festival on the 4th in World’s Fair Park. There is a FREE festival at the World’s Fair Park! There will be entertainment, activities, and treats at the City of Knoxville’s 4th of July celebration. This event will start on 4 p.m. and ends at approximately 10 p.m. The Temper Evans Band will be performing from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30p.m., So this is a great destination if you want to bring the kids, and listen to some good music! It has been announced that there will be free parking, the event will happen regardless of rain or shine, and there will be NO alcohol, and NO pets allowed.

Farragut’s 30th Annual Independence Day Parade
The Town of Farragut is hosting the 30th annual Independence Day Parade at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4th. The parade begins on Kingston Pike at Lendon Welch Way, and continues to Boring Road! There are going to be featuring bands, floats, animals, dancers, and more! Bring a picnic breakfast and arrive early for the best viewing spots!

Sons of the American Revolution Celebration
If you are wanting to bring out the inner patriot in you, then this event is for you! The annual observance of Independence Day includes a flag ceremony, and reading of the Signers of the Declaration. This event will be held at James White’s Fort, which is the home to the founder of Knoxville! This event begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends right at 11:00 a.m.

Pigeon Forge Patriot Fest
Feeling like taking a trip to Pigeon Forge? Well there will be an excellent Patriot Festival hosted at Patriot Park! Delicious food vendors with burgers, franks, and more will be available! At noon there will be a FREE Kids’ carnival to kick off the festival. From 1:30pm-9:30pm there will be Free entertainment including games along with performances by Stock Creek Bluegrass Band, Vinyl Tap, A Veterans Tribute, the Pigeon Forge Community Chorus, Sammy Arriaga, Departure (Journey Tribute Band), & headliner Thompson Square. Don’t forget about the FIREWORKS show that starts at 9:45pm!
